What is there in South Africa that you just cannot miss? Definitely a lot of things.
Let’s look at each one of them. You can always Call us and we’ll tell you more, anytime.
The First Gem: Cape Town

Cape Town is Africa’s most popular destination for tourism, so obviously it is a must-visit city. Here’s a bird’s eye view of Cape Town.
What is so special about Cape Town that you cannot find anywhere else?
Cape Town is one the few cities which has a waterfront on one side and the imposing table mountain on the other. The V&A Waterfront is bustling with food, shopping and trendy bars and it is also an ideal place for off-shore excursions to the neighbouring Robben Island. The stunning beaches across Camp’s bay on a sunny day or a cable car ride to the top of the Table Mountain will provide you with the picture perfect postcard view of one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Here is a mesmerizing picture of the mountain and the sea – 2 of the Cape Town’s stellar highlights.
The Second Gem: Garden Route
From one gem to the next – The Garden Route commences at Capetown and stretches across 2 Oceans and 2 Capes right up to Port Elizabeth. From Ostrich farms to Winelands, from Whale Watching to the Highest Bungee jump site in the world, from scenic drives to stunning forests, from lagoon cruises to lovely beaches, the Garden Route has it all.
Adventure, golfing, luxury, wildlife, wine & more – whatever your taste, the Garden Route undoubtedly tops the list of “must-do” gems of South Africa after Cape Town.
The Third Gem: Kruger National Park
Any visit to South Africa is incomplete without visiting its premier game viewing destination – Kruger. Kruger National Park is not only huge, it also provides one of the best wild life viewing experiences in the world: you can view the Big 5 – the Lion, The Elephant, Wild Buffalo, The Rhino and even the evasive Leopard! Here’s an Elephant crossing the road in Kruger…
The Fourth Gem: Sun City
Within 3 hours driving distance from Jo’burg is Sun City – the Vegas of the African Continent. After the IIFA awards were hosted there way back in 2001, Sun City has become a hot favorite amongst Indian travellers. Known as Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure, Sun City has casinos, restaurants, water sports (in a special zone called the Valley of the Waves), a golf course and it even close by you can also visit Pilansberg where you could be lucky to see the Big 5. Here is the picture of a casino at Sun City…
The Fifth Gem: Johannesburg
Jo’burg – also known as the City of Gold and the “main gateway to South Africa” is a melting pot of cultures and experiences. You can visit Gold Reef city where you get to actually descend in a gold mine and watch gold being poured! At Sterkfontein caves, you can watch million year old human fossils being excavated right in front of your eyes! And then Johannesburg has such a rich political history that there are museums galore – from the Hector Peterson Museum which has pictures from one of the biggest black upheavals in history to the Nelson Mandela museum which houses memorabilia, paintings and honorary doctorate degrees. You could even make day trips to Sun City or to a Flea Market near Hartbeespoort Dam or pet a cub at Lion Park! And after all this exploration, you can relax and enjoy traditional African cuisine at a traditional African restaurant in Melrose Arch.
Here, have a look at the Sterkfontein archaeological wonders.
So well, those were the gems.
