Day 1  – Cape Town

_________________________________________________

Cape Town is one of the few cities in the world which have both a table mountain and the sea shore. It’s coastline is one of the most beautiful in the world.

You will arrive at Cape Town International Airport where our guide will meet you. You will check into your 5 star hotel for the next 3 nights on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Then we’ll take you on a tour of Cape Town in our coach. You will visit:

* The magnificent Table Mountain. It is Cape Town’s jewel. There’s a special mechanism using which you can ascend the mountain and catch glimpses of the entire city while you ascend.

* The Castle – South Africa’s oldest building.

* The Company Gardens – which boast of the oldest pear tree in South Africa and even an aviary!

* The Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the Slave lodge

* The Bo-Kaap Quarters which are simply houses painted in fascinating colours – pink, green, blue, yellow and what not!

We will have a lunch break in between.

Day 2  – Cape Peninsula

_________________________________________________

After breakfast, we will take you on a magical tour of the Cape Peninsula.

You will visit:

* Hout Bay – from where you will cruise to Seal Island. This island is famous for its lazy seals!

* Clifton and Camps Bay – enjoy the relaxing beaches.

* Chapman’s Peak – a mountain in the Cape Peninsula.

* The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve – world famous for the large variety of plants it has.

We will then take a break for lunch.

After lunch we’ll tour:

* Cape Point – which provides rivetting views of the blue Indian Ocean and the Green Atlantic Ocean.

* Boulder’s Beach – where you will see penguins in Africa!

* Simon’s Town – which will give you the South African village experience.

* Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden – world famous for its floral species.

After the exhilarating day, we will take you back to your 5 star hotel for dinner and the overnight stay. Here’s a picture taken inside the Kirstenbosch Botanical garden:

Day 3  – Cape Winelands

_________________________________________________

Right after breakfasts, we’ll take you in your coach to magnificent Franschhoek Valley. This is the wine heartland of South Africa.

Here you will enjoy:

* Touring a village with wonderful art, craft and antique shops.

* Lunch and wine tasting at a Wine Estate.

After Franschhoek, we’ll take you to Stellenbosch. The Stellenbosch wine route which includes 106 wine cellars is the country’s most famous wine route.

After the extensive excursion, we will host a farewell dinner for you in Cape Town. Return to your hotel for the overnight stay. Here are some wine barrels in South Africa:

Day 4  – Rovos Rail

_________________________________________________

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Rovos Rail Station.

Rovos Rail is the most luxurious train in the world. It has a Lounge Car, and an Observation Car too.

Our first stop will be the village of Matjiesfontein. Before reaching this village, you will encounter 4 interesting tunnels.

Matjiesfontein is famous for it’s museum which is located on the Railway Station itself. This museum has an enticing collection of historic cars and railway carraiges. You can also venture around the village to absorb the ambience of a South African village.

You will travel through Rovos Rail all day. Dinner will be served in Rovos Rail’s luxurious dining cars. Here’s a picture of Rovos Rail.

Day 5  – Rovos Rail: Kimberley

________________________________________________

As you bask in the comfort of Rovos Rail, we’ll serve you breakfast and lunch. At Kimberley Station, you will disembark for a special coach tour.

Kimberley is famous for its diamond mines. “The Big Hole” and the “Mine Museum” are its star attractions. The Big Hole, some say is the largest hole on this earth excavated by hand. People dug it in their quest for diamonds.

When we depart from Kimberley station, you will see a shallow lake on your left side. This lake plays host to around 23000 flamingoes! Feast your eyes.

You will have dinner in the Dining Car. here’s the dining car:

Day 6  – Pretoria

Enjoy breakfast in the dining car.

You comfortable train will finally cruise into Pretoria Station. From here, we will take you to Mpumalanga – the Province where you will explore South Africa’s wildlife.

You will have lunch on your way to Mpumalanga and retire for the night in a 4 star hotel after dinner.

Day 7  – Blyde Canyon

After breakfast, you will visit:

* The Blyde River Canyon – the largest “green” canyon on earth. it also has interesting natural formations called Bourde’s Luck Potholes near it.

* A place in Mpumalanga that offers such a beautiful natural view – that it is called “God’s window”

You will check into your Luxury Game Lodge and have lunch there.

After lunch we will take you for a game drive nearby. You might spot the Big 5 of wildlife here! Then you will have dinner at the Savannah Lodge. Look at the Blyde Canyon, below:

Day 8  – Savannah Game Lodge

Breakfast-Game Drive- Lunch-Game Drive, will be your schedule. We promise it will be one of the most exciting elements of your tour.

Game Drives include night drives, bush walks, a community village tour, star gazing, shopping, business center facilities, lodge swimming pool facilities, select private plunge pools and even weddings!

Day 9  – Pilgrim’s Rest

_________________________________________________

You will have breakfast at your hotel. Then you will proceed for another morning game drive.

After the game drive, we will move towards Johannesburg.  On the way, we will pause for lunch at a village called Pilgrim’s Rest.

This village became famous in the 1870s when gold was discovered here. Strolling through the village one can still sense the wild atmosphere of these gold rush days in the many historic buildings and landmarks, each with their own fascinating tales from the past.

At night, you will reach Johannesburg and check into your hotel for 1 night (dinner, bed and breakfast included).

Day 10  – Livingstone Airport

________________________________________________

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the O R Tambo Airport. From there, you will fly to Livingstone Airport.

Upon arrival in Livingstone you will be met by a English guide who will transfer you to your Hotel – the David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa.

Some interesting facts about the lodge are:

* Adventure activities such as bungee jumping, sky diving, white water rafting, abseiling are available close to the lodge
* There are craft markets and a myriad of dining venues
* Opportunities to go for game drives / walks
* Elephant back safari facilities

* Spa facilities

* Bird and Game Viewing opportunities

* Fishing activities involving the elusive tiger fish

On this day, your lunch will be at your own expense.

In the evening, experience a sunset cruise.

From the boats, sightings of elephant, giraffe and even rhino coming down to the river to drink are common. There are also abundant hippos, crocodiles and bird life.  Lavishly decked out with every thought to a guest’s personal comfort, the Lady Livingstone, a three-decker river cruiser designed to accommodate groups and individuals is  based at the hotel!

Day 11  – The Victoria Falls

This morning, after breakfast – a fascinating sight will meet your eyes: the majestic Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world. It is considered by many to be one of the “7 Natural Wonders of the World.” Savour its charms…

You have the afternoon at leisure. Stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 12  – Johannesburg

We will transfer you to the airport in Livingstone after breakfast. You will then take a flight to Johannesburg and your connecting flight back to Mumbai.

That will be the end of this fascinating tour…. :)
